Excellent Workout!

We bought a treadmill in December so we could start off the New Year right.  I've really enjoyed working out at home and we set up an area in the basement with weights, exercise balls and stuff like that.
I found this leg workout on Pinterest and did it yesterday.  Only 15 minutes and it was excellent!

LEGS ♥ ...i feel like this may kill me!

I went shopping with Linda yesterday and she helped pick out some new colors at Hobby Lobby.  I made a hat for her:
And another that I haven't decided to gift or sell:
This was my first try attaching small beads to the chain drawstring.  I probably need more practice or beads with larger holes so the yarn can go straight thru.  Right now, I'm attaching them with a needle and thread.

While scrolling thru Instagram the other night, I saw so many people hashtagging #moodblanket2014.  So I decided to join along!
Here are my first 8 days of January:

I'm not necessarily crocheting the squares according to my moods, but sometimes they represent something from that day.
1.  Medium Blue for New Year's Day.  We had a quiet relaxing day at home.
2.  Mustard Yellow:  I watched several episodes of Breaking Bad.  The yellow color represents their Hazmat suits.
3.  Red:  Date Night Downtown.  We had dinner at Merchants.  Chad ordered rabbit and it was delicious.
4.  Bright Neon Multi:  Chad and I worked out at home and had a lot of fun.  High energy!
5.  Rich Royal Purple:  Downton Abbey Season Premiere
6.  White with silvery glitter:  Below zero temps and snow.
7.  Light Pink:  gave my friend hat gifts and they posted the cutest photo to facebook wearing them.  Made me feel so happy!
8.  Blue Tweed:  the color Linda chose for her new hat.

I've started to join the row and hope to keep up with it.  I have yet to decide how big and what color I want to use as the main color for the blanket.  Probably a neutral beige...
Some people online are doing 52 squares (one per week) but I'm in the group doing 365 squares for each day of the year.  And I'm going to stick to the program and not crochet squares in advance.  I always have other projects in the works that take up most of my crochet time!

Crocheted Hats for Gifts to Friends

These hats are for 3 dear friends.

One loves the show Adventure Time.  So this is Lady Rainicorn.  Don't have a good photo of her long blonde hair/mane sewn to the back of the hat.
Lady Rainicorn

The other friend likes My Little Pony.  This is Rarity.  She might need more curls...

My other friend has really long pretty hair that she wears in a ponytail most of the time.  So I wanted to make something she could wear comfortably.  I love this pattern and can't wait to make more!  It can be a hat or a cowl.

Here's the link to the free pattern that I found on pinterest.  Again, this was a fun hat to make!

I'm delivering the hats today...I hope they like them!
