Rehearsal Dinner Night

Now that my brother-in-law has married his beautiful bride...what do I do with all of this extra time??
We had the rehearsal dinner at our house and over 40 people were in attendance.  I like things to be...just right...so I went a little overboard (like always).
Pinterest gave me so many ideas for the dinner decorations!  And making everything was so much fun!
I hadn't started this blog until after it was all over.  So I don't have photos of everything I created and I didn't get many photos of the actual event.  But I'll post what I've got!
The bride and her father.
The best man (father of the groom) and matron of honor (sister of the bride).
Cousin of the groom and sister of the bride.
Friends of the groom (and the bride).
Brother and sister-in-law of the groom.
My husband (brother-of the-groom) and me.

After the rehearsal, everyone headed over to my house.
I went with a rustic sort of theme.  Their wedding colors were yellow and gray.
The families of the bride and groom had never met, so I made name tags for everyone to wear.  To display them, I had an old frame and put lace across the front to attach them with clothespins.  Sadly, I didn't get a photo of the entire display before everyone arrived.
We had mini caprese salads and baguettes with dip and veggies.  Again...thanks, Pinterest!
They were all gone in seconds!!
Then everyone headed outside for a catered dinner and we got a group shot of most of the family.
Here's just a couple of other photos of the evening.  Seems as though everyone had a good time.  :)

Grandma Helen brought brownies and 3 different types of cookies for desert and I made this incredibly easy homemade ice cream with fresh strawberries.
If you know me...you know that I need to make sure there is a perfect playlist of music.  I started out with nearly 20 hours of music and got it down to 8 hours.  All of my favorite "love" songs were on there.  Some Van Morrisson...James Taylor...Bob Marley...Lyle Lovett...Ray LaMontagne...and many more.
What a night!!  And the next night was incredible!  Wedding info and pix coming tomorrow.
